Johanna Bruckner

The outside curtains of this elementary school building, one can see in the image, are made of special fabrique that easily moves, yet still keeps its original function, protecting from sunlight. Ground floors that are subject to automated home floor maps of the surrounding area are being sewed into the roller blinds.

Secondly, this building in Hamburg's Hafencity will be connected with the building on the other side through these lines seen in the image. It questions the harsh building policy of Hamburg's Hafencity that follows the global agenda of financializing space, under which conditions buildings are built and for what functions. The lines cross each other and this choreography is arranged in a way that reflects the ground floors of so called social - or affordable housing, that is rather absent.

Work in Progress.
